How Nomic Bridge Works
📥Deposit (BTC → nBTC)
Generate a deposit address controlled by the Nomic validator set via threshold signatures. Send BTC, receive nBTC after confirmations.
📤Withdrawal (nBTC → BTC)
Burn nBTC on Nomic to initiate a withdrawal. Validators collectively sign a Bitcoin transaction to send BTC to your address.
🌉IBC Transfer
nBTC can be transferred to any IBC-enabled chain (like Osmosis) for DeFi, trading, and liquidity provision.
Checkpoint System
Nomic uses a checkpoint system to batch and secure Bitcoin transactions.
